- Action – Term referring to money that was bet. You can use it to talk about all the bets that were made in a given time frame or just an aggregate.

- Bankroll – The money that one gambler has available to make wagers.

- Bar – Blackjack term referring to banning a gambler in one casino. In most situations it will be used to

- Bet Spread – The money that a player will bet as a minimum and a maximum in one session. For instance, a 1

- Blackjack – A natural hand that is worth 21 points from the very first 2 cards that you receive. The hand will always contain an Ace and will wield in an automatic win.

- Bust – Automatic loss when you go over 21 points.

- Card Counting – A method of counting high and low cards that have exited the game. Through such a method you can see when it is favorable to bet big and when to bet small. Different card counting systems have been developed.

- Draw – Hit – Terms used to describe receiving another card so that the player can get closer to 21.

- Face Cards – Jacks, Queens and Kings, all worth ten points.

- Hard Hand – One hand that does not have an Ace or the Ace has to receive a value of 1 so that no bust appears.

- High Roller – Gambler that bets a lot of money.

- Insurance – One side bet that is placed in the event that the dealer might have blackjack.

- Natural – Synonym with Blackjack.

- Push – Situation that appears when dealer and player have the same point total.

- Toke – A tip that players give to dealers or casino employees.
